KU v. Iowa State

KU loses the coin flip and must march their lackluster D out onto the field
1st and 10 at the 31 for ISU
2 plays in and KU hasn't come close to stopping the cyclone jaugernaut, ball at the 45
The clones have marched the ball to the KU 30 after a 3 & 3 conversion via the play action pass
After a 22 yard rush its a TD
7-0 ISU and the KU defense looks like Reals after 20 beers or sober for that matter, uncoordinated confused and not as good as everyone else

KU gets a scare when digital Todd gets the virtual wind knocked right out of his pixilated ass, KM comes in and delivers a nice pass for a 1st down
TR5 is back and hits KM for 7 yards on 3rd down, bringing up a 4th down inside ISU territory, and KU is unable to pick up the blitz and TR is sacked for a turnover

Now that I've taken a very not digital shit, I think things are going to change

End of 1-
ISU 7 KU 0
KU ball 1st and 10at the ISU 34 yard line

The fucking line fails to pick up a blitz again and TR is our with virtual shin splints and KU faced with a 3 & 22

KM is intercepted and KU remains scoreless
Iowa State promptly sticks it right up KU's ass and we have ourselves and Upset Alert

Hopefully KU can get get their virtual heads out of their digital asses
Well more bad news campers TR throws a pick trying to force the ball to KM
BUT wait Chris Harris shows why he was the real life Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year by getting a 60 yard pick 6 and cutting it to 14-7, bless his digital and real life ass

On a side note while KU has the hill behind the scoreboard ISU has a steel barn, classy

Hawks down 10 at the half not good, just like the real life Hawks, they can't get any pressure with the front 4

Booyah and in your face
TR orchestrates an all pass drive down the field for 7 and we have a game now
Hawks down 3 early 3rd quarter

The D gets tough and hold ISU with a nice play by Corrigan Powell to break up a pass but Chizek pulls a fake punt and the D remains on the field, virtual Mangino is real pissed

Virtual Justin Thorton rocks a ISU wide reciever and KU stops them again, now ISU will kick a field goal to lead by 6

But his digital leg wasn't accurate enough as he misses wide right and KU is back with the ball and might even think about running it

As the 3rd quarter comes to a close, KU down 3 is driving, a drive led so far by a couple of nice runs by AQ and a big 3rd down reception from ol' Dexton Fields

Kerry Freaking catches 4 passes in a row, minus the 2 yard run from AQ, and KU gets 6, after the XP
KU is up 21-17 and all seems well in digital football land, now can the D hold them

If ever there needed to be more proof the positive effects of getting pressure with the front 4, it was just shown with John Larson bearing down on him the guy who isn't Seneca Wallace hurries a throw and its picked off by one of the best safeties in all of the country Darrell Stuckey

Hawk ball, I know real Mangino would have me air it out so no running on this drive
And guess freaking who, K who? KM
hawks up 28-17 and looks like we might have a Jayhawk victory on our hands
Kendrick Harper dropping an INT makes me think that maybe I should have sat his digital ass and he may not be fully recovered from his injury
(Harper is not listed as a started for Saturday's game so he might still be hurt, we HAVE to have hime back for OU)

Joe I'll rip your fucking head off Mortenson with an INT, hey this looks kind of like the D from last year, please let it be that way

Ahhhh, a TD pass to Raymond you're a fucking hot dog Pendelton (who is now listed as a backup to Jonathon Wilson, so he might actually get some reps on Saturday and he did fine against SHS)

Ball game
FINAL
35-17 Good guys (if this is what Saturday winds up being I'll have a happy drive home)

Stats
TR 27-40 305 yards 4TD's 1INT
KM 1-2 13 yards 1 INT

AQ 9-33 yards on the ground with a long rush of 12

KM 10 receptions for 125 yards and 2TD
Fields w/ 5-52 (I wouldn't be upset if this is what he did every game for the rest of the year, mainly because he adds a dimension and reliability factor that is hard to find, throw in his blocking and he's a big cog in our machine)
Pendelton 3-33 1TD
AQ 2-26
Patterson 2-19 plus a nice punt return
2-38 for Briscoe
Biere 1 catch for 10 yards (did you know that Biere is how some country spells Beer, and dude is our TE, pretty freaking cool)
And Joc with one reception for 15 yards and a couple of weird attempts at blocking (he is listed as 3rd on the depth chart so look a steady dose of Quigley on Saturday which should be good since ISU has a shitty run defense)

No real big highlight on the D side of the ball
Chirs Harris with the pick 6
Styuckey and Joe with INT's and Holt with 3 tackles for loss

Rock Chalk
