a play that embodies Kansas Basketball

I'm a firm believer that when you put on the crimson and the blue with "KANSAS" on the front its not about wins and losses its about wins and playing like tomorrow you won't be around.
Today we saw a very clear example of this.
In the second half of the Ok St game- Brady and Tyrel- two guys that are constantly hammered on for not being as good as Mario Chalmers and Brandon Rush.
And while neither of them are tha, they played like Kansas players are supposed to play.

In the second half there was a loose ball and both Tyrel and Brady went after it.
It appeared that by their determination if they didn't come up with the ball they might only see the floor over at Robinson on a pick up game.

Very rarely do you see two guys who aren't supposed to be anything special doing something special, going all out.
When the scrap settled and Tyrel had a run out layup (sort of) it was one of the gutiest Kansas plays of recent memory.
It wound up being a 3 point play and a very symbolic moment of what happens when you play for the letters on the front rather than the back.
Playing basketball for the University of Kansas is something.
Playing basketball the Kansas way is something else.
