The we accidentally got drunk watching the OU game

SO, I'm talking to the Emeril of 11th & Mississippi and he's talking season, i'm calling it another swing game.
KU wins they have every opportunity to win the North a loss and its a 1 year wonder, our defense is soft, the line is weak blah blah etc al.
KU needs this win for a couple of reasons
1- recruiting will start to pick up here in the next couple of weeks, high school seasons will be over and kids will be taking visits in anticipation for the Feb. signing period.
KU needs another LB, a DE or 2, they have NO WR's in the class so far, they need another RB. So they need a feel good event to pimp to these kids, beating a top 10 team on your turf is that event
2- like i mentioned a W would validate last years success, it would show that we are better than our record
3- it would make us bowl eligible
4- this would be the win over a highly rated team that we haven't had sans Va Tech, but we have to get over the OB, and move ahead as a program

Here's what HAS to happen for a W this week--
The D has to get a TO, shouldn't be that hard
Crawford needs to continue to return KO's, Tech will score so there will be ample opportunities to get got field position and Crawford is the guy to do that (side note - Joc has bee great on KO coverage as well, made a couple of tackles in the CU game and was in the mix against OU as well)
Run the ball- there was a play in the OU game, early in the game when it was scoreless or KU was down 7 or less and they ran Sharp for 1 yard, and I said that is a great play, you didn't lose yards so that's good and 1 yard is better than no yards, it keeps the clock running, helps the D rest and sets up the pass or at the very least says hey we might run the ball. If sharp has 100 yards again we will be in very good shape, but we need to control the ball and running it will do that

I really encourage everyone that is attending this game to drink some red bull in the am or black coffee or snort some lines, whatever it takes, we really need to be loud early and often, no more of this laize fair OP bullshit where you wish the game wasn't during prime grocery shopping hours, get your ass there, that this game isn't sold out makes me sick, and when kids pass on KU for other programs this is the one thing I look at and I say, I can't blame them.
The atmosphere for homecoming should be awesome, everyone should be in high spirits, this is a game we can and should win, but everyone has to do their part and that means being loud, staying the whole time and suporting your Hawks, freaking team is on a nice little run at Memorial and happens to be in the top 20, just sayin.

One more thing-
We need more consistency from the WR position.
KM has been solid throughout, and he didn't do that well against OU but he did make a couple of nice plays.
Briscoe played great in week 1 and last week other than that he's been all over the place.
fields has NOT caught more than 2 passes in any game yet this year
Wilson was an animal against South FL but has been absent since
patterson had that one good game, but he's been gone

So someone needs to step it up, 2 people for that matter we should be able to have 3 guys with over 80 yards in the game, I'll say Briscoe, Fields and KM and Sharp will have at least 40 yards recieving, 150 total yards
KU by 13
