Newest Jayhawk is big and fast and from Texas

Jeremiah Edwards at 6-1 270 already has pretty stellar size for a HS JR. and now KU can benefit from that size and quickness when he arrives on campus in 2010.

Mangino secured his second commit in as many days for the class of 2010 (both from Texas and I'm of the opinion that you can never have enough Texas kids on your squad)

I believe that David Beaty was the lead recruiter for both of these kids so he's off to a smashing start.

Welcome to KU big fella, from all of us (which is only me) we're looking forward to seeing you in the Crimson and Blue.

Definitely good news. Read that this kid went to the same high school as James McClinton, who only went on to become a 2nd team All-American. You gotta love our ability to head into Texas and swoop up some of these kids before the slower moving (and generally inferior) Big 12 teams begin to get their $hit together. With more Big 12 teams opting for pass-happy offenses, getting in a quick D-lineman who can make plays in the backfield may be the trend in the not-so-distant future.

2 quick DT's in 2 straight classes.
Travis Stephens in this class and not Edwards for 2010- surely a good sign.

This guy plays exactly like McClinton- not saying he'll be the next McClinton because those are lofty expectations but they are very similar.
