Welcome to KU

Ricki Herod JR.- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYGaONcGxcE (short but impressive clip)

Herod JR becomes the first known commitment for the 2010 football recruiting class.

And boy does he look like a great start to the class.
Herod Jr hails from the same high school as sophomore to be Daymond Patterson.
He was just named the MVP of the Fort Worth Nike and in January he was voted a member of the US Army National Combine team (but I have not the slightest clue what that is)
According to Rivals.com he is 6-2 and weighs 175 (he's still just a Jr in HS so he should get bigger)

Seems like a great get and start for the class and if I'm Kale Pick I'm just getting a boner thinking about throwing the ball to him, J Wil, McGriff and Omigie.

This is a sign of things to come from the Man-genius. A Big 12 North championship in 2009 will further cement the fact that the KU program will consistently be in the top 3 programs in the Big 12 for a long time to come.

I see us hauling in a big time recruiting class next year once H.S. kids see all of the PT that RS-freshman and sophs will have on this year's team. Not to mention that we will be losing most of the skills position to graduation/NFL (Reesing, Meier, Briscoe, Sharp).

10 Win Club applications will be mailed out shortly. We might see another season where the FB and BB teams combine for close to 50 wins

DING DING DING-
what he said.

I think we sell out for the Big 12 North next year and I like our chances. We need to shore up some areas but I have faith.

We have the best coaching staff we've had since Glen Mason's era and maybe ever.
Upgrading the coaching at D-Line and LB's will help so much (plus Bowen now has an assistant D-cord. which will help a lot)

I've got some other nuggets that I found that i'll put in a seperate post- but let's just say the staff is working their collective asses off.
