Bad news followed by better tidbits

There will NOT be a new videoboard in Memorial Stadium this fall (moment of silence...) but there are plans to put one in the coming years. So that sucks.
To cheer you up I listed some tidbits of good to decent news.

– I'm hearing CHASSON RANDLE and BRADLEY BEAL remain top-priority guards, but the competition is getting tougher. I'm hearing Kansas will be hard to beat for Beal (from illinihq.com)

Beal is a 2011 kid and was at Late Night and the Border War last year, this would be a big time get for the staff as they have been on him early and often.

Thanks to all who voted in the most recent poll about season ticket sales. It looks like everyone, well everyone who reads this blog, has high expectations and a lot of confidence in our fan base to come out in droves for this next year and are expecting record numbers this year. I hope we're all correct, the more the merrier.

Looks like my worrying about the class was a tad premature, whoops, On July 3rd there will be a couple of guys from Texas who are going to Lawrence with intentions to talk to the coaches and commit (per rivals.com) one is a WR from Texas who I did a little piece on and the other is CB from Texas as well, we'll see if Mangino will take the commits or if he's waiting for bigger and badder targets.

Elliot Williams is leaving Duke, which should be fun. I'm sure its all part of coach K's plan to have the first post 1950 all white team because you know skinny white guys slap the floor like its a job.
