Elite Camp- get em while they're young

Jp Tokoto 6-5 SG - class of 2012

(#24 in blue)

Attended Elite Camp this weekend and received an offer from KU. There is some rumblings that Bill Self and Co. are in the lead (team to beat) for this perimeter stud.

Perry Ellis 6-8 SF / PF - class of 2012 Wichita,KS
The other day under comments of a KUsports.com article someone posted this comment from a youtube.com clip

"i was on perrys aau team, he is going to go to KU, he told that is his dream school, he is nto a thug at all and he is an extremely nice guy and extremely humble and deserves everything he is going to get out of basketball, and is going to be a jayhawk, everytime we plyed march madness ar 2k8, he played with kansas, and he talked about how good kansas was a lot, he loves KU"

Now honestly, anybody could have posted that, but let's just assume its true, and be really excited. Perry is regarded as one of the top 5 talents in the class of 2012 and getting in state talent when available is key.

Some other recruiting tidbits-

It looks like Ray McCallum is not a KU lean, he could still end up at KU (class of 2010) but its going to be a tougher get. With Tyshawn Taylor, CJ Henry and Elijah Johnson all on board for 2010, is this really a bad thing? I say no.

KU could still go after Branden Knight, #1 Player according to Rivals.com or Trevor Releford, yes the little brother of Travis.

Luke Cothron told theshiver.com that he enjoyed his visit to KU's Elite camp (2010- #9 player per Rivals.com) - I really think this PF could be the next pledge for the 2010 class and with Royce Wooldrige already on board that would be 2 real studs heading to Lawrence this time next year.

We're hoping to get some good info from the Alumni game this Wednesday, maybe even some video. So make sure you check back later this week.
